The longing and desire of God is our right standing in fellowship with Him. Being firm is simply taking uncompromising position about something. Not ready to shift ground or being too rigid about decision. Our discussion will centre around the danger of not shifting ground as believer even when we know our activities are not heaven bound.
We are in season when many Christians in their hearts are fully aware that our religious and spiritual exercises are no longer edifying, neither is there power of God visible in our meetings again. We are daily leaving farther and farther from God. Heaven is fast fading away from our vision. Many of us are in the knowing that if Christ come at this moment we cannot fly with him. What a danger position. We are clouded with religion activities.
If our Pastors take some moment to ask every member if they are very sure if Christ come during service on sunday. If they will make it to heaven; to sit down why others that are not sure of going to heaven remain standing. You will be shock by the outcome.
My Pastor was led by Holy Spirit to do that sometimes ago. Out of congregation of like 500, less than 10 have boldness to sit. That was even after more explanations. Now imagine our standing from Monday to Saturday.
Unprofitable standing it is my brethren when all our religious activities cannot give us boldness to say we are ready for heaven no matter the time of His coming.
Unprofitable standing it is when theological offices are not taking us closer to heaven.
Unprofitable standing it is when we do church but act more terrible than unbelievers outside church. The most heart breaking part is that we know something is not right but we are not changing our ways. We knew God is not please with us but we ignore. We all leave as if we don't care what the consequence of not going with Jesus to heaven. I was a bit shock to know that time will come that God also will care less about our choice of standing.
Unfortunately it seems we carelessly prefer unprofitable than profitable stand. It seems we leave everyday deliberately waiting for hell.
He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. Revelation 22:11-12 KJV
God started the bible by making us the centre of His plan. He end it in revelation by leaving us with choice of how we want to finish our race. We are becoming a church that forsake divine purpose to pursue unjust cause. Our God is no longer begging the failed church at this last days. His words shows that He had entrusted us with what we must do. Failure to do it will result in great danger.
He will come back again without mercy but with judgement and rewards of both profitable and unprofitable standing. Why are we so careless in our days. Do we think mercy will help our unjust, unrighteous and filthy stands? We are so firm in evil that anyone who made attempt to correct us is termed enemy of the church. Anyone who speaks about our leaders lording over other sheep of God will be called rebellious. Anyone who point out our dangerous and unprofitable standing to us meet with our unholy anger.
Heaven no longer ring bell because of our standing with the world. When will the church see it's dangerous state and cry in prayers for fresh revival. When are we going to understand that God cannot be mocked. When will it be clear to us that we are not practising just religion but we are playing with hell fire. You are the church, I am one too.
When are we going to stop self-centered and self-worship services. We are so firm in evil. So firm in unrighteousness. So firm in filthiness. So firm in walking to hell. So firm in deceit.
May God restore His church. May we not be that generation where faith cannot be found by God. May we receive grace to be firm in doing Holy, just and righteous deeds. May we stand firm in profitable spiritual liberty as we await our Lord Jesus Christ second coming. Amen
