Love the Man in a Sinner.

The best of a true child of God only comes out when the taught pattern is equal or synonymous to that of the Father. This article is to examine if truly we see, think, act, and judge like our Father when relating with that man who is by all standard a sinner. So much personal hatred for other men by so many Christian that one wonders if that's the approach God took or instructed believers to take. From ancient time, suppose children of God will not eat, drink or relate with any man who sin. The dispensation of law actually permitted such ill feeling towards sinner according to provision in the laws of God through Moses. But does that represent the verdict of God for Sinners in the season of grace? Some Christian are even faster than God to pronounce judgement of death penalty because they see sinners beyond redemption. We don't want him/her to be free from the errors. Let us quickly check Jesus Christ approach to Sinner to find out what God expect of our generation. Does He ha...

Affliction trains for Obedience.

In two of our previous posts, we talked about the fact that righteous can suffers affliction just for the sake of the kingdom and also for confirmation of His integrity before both God and Satan. http://selfsameglobal.blogspot.com/2018/01/affliction-two-way-confirmation-of.html and http://selfsameglobal.blogspot.com.ng/2018/01/affliction-of-righteous.html  We shall be studying about the trouble that the righteous encountered as a result of disobedience unto God. A believer is no longer in charge of his life decisions. The moment we are declared dead to sin and awakened to righteousness by the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ, we turned to servants of righteousness. Our waymaker; compass for the journey, the Holy Spirit will take over; leading us through to heaven. It become major error for Christian to assume control by dictating to God whatever he preferred above doing the will of God. This action was made equal to witchcraft practice. When God see Christian that mani...

God's Generals in an Evil Nation.

Major turnaround brought to Africa by missionaries who flooded it many years ago left an impact that will remain forever. The birth of Christians who grew up to become Spiritual Gaints and great Battle Axe of God. The revival move was more evidence in Nigeria as it stand today as a black nation with numerous apostles of faith, heaven ordained prominent men of God. In fact all over the world, the nation Nigeria stood at present to be the leading country when we talk about land where some right standing men before God are turning lifes around by the message of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Alongside spiritual development, there were also notable physical changes in the well-being of the people by the charitable works of the missionaries. Infrastructures, Healthcare, Education, Clothes and Shelters were made available. These drew more people to the faith as it was until date. Not to bored you with much history. In the nation today there are clear evidences of backward movement. ...

Unlocking Spiritual Blindness with Jesus Christ True Identity

The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.   But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! Matthew 6:22‭-‬23 KJV. This word of Jesus Christ expressed the significant of eyes to human existence. A man without eyes lacks vision and focus. Individual without eyes lives a life of dependence on others. It could be worse when it's the blind that is leading the other. The brightness of our light is a function of the singleness of our eye. He further explained that the eye of a Christian who does evil is equivalent to great darkness. Permit me to say that blindness of physical eyes may be a terrible occurrence but that of the spiritual eye is indeed synonymous to total darkness. A man without physical eye may be full of vision and fulfill purpose while the one who is spiritually blind cannot become anything with his ph...

Eli, Eli, Lama Sabachthani? The cry of Sinful Saints.

Many people are under the yoke of different problems and difficult challenges emanating from finances, health, emotion, social and material needs. Prayers and supplications going up to God everyday in order to receive liberation from these evil works of the Devil. The torment when a man found himself in an unpleasant situations, forsaken, despised and rejected by men. I was deep in thought how difficult such situation may be until the revelation from God about what real suffering means hit me. There is a particular heartbroken, bone draining and devastating situation. If a child of God is found in sin, every other problems should be set aside to address it. Freedom from all other evil lies in victory won when believer ceased to be a Sinful Saint. What does it mean to be a Sinful Saint? That was the question I asked when the thought troubled my spirit until revelation from scripture ignites me with truth and reality about Saints who are living in sin. Many take sin so lightly with t...

Can a Christian suffer Generational Curses of Sin?

Parenting is one major important aspect of human existence. Many school of taught agreed that charater development of a child is based on biological, moral and spiritual deposits from the parent. This generic believe was also applicable in the punishment of error committed by parents even for many generation. The early dealings of God with man never exonerate children from the sin of their forefathers. In fact the entirety of man creatures both born and yet unborn are pronounced guilty of the disobedience of Adam and Eve. The innocent children of Korah suffered from his wickedness unto God. Family of King Saul was eradicated from Israel. Yet only King Saul was the master culprit. Painful one was the death of innocent newly born child of King David who died as a result of adultery committed by his father. Many and more of these cases of God's judgement in the scripture had soaked into the practice and mindset of Christian today that one need to ask again why it must be so after Jesu...

What is This? God's Principle of Meeting Christian Needs.

The mindset to develop as true child of God on our needs and daily provision was established in the scripture both old and new testaments. This revelation is important as many today still stay comfortably in Egypt with deception and false hope that they are fairing well on the road to Canaan. Many have enjoyed the grace established by Jesus Christ on the Cross when He said Father forgive them for they knew not what they are doing. But should children of God remained in Ignorance? Will it not lead to destruction and they too will perish with unbelieving world. Let us quickly examine one important principle of God's dealing with man in term of possession. And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt.  And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron...

Affliction! The Two Way Confirmation of Righteousness

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.  And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters.  His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.  And his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.  And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually. Job 1:1‭-‬5 KJV Have you ever take time to look at your curriculum vitae and matched it alongside that of Jo...

Affliction of the Righteous

The Gospel as it's being preached today portrays more of comfort, materialism and full satisfaction. Neglecting the place of Afflictions and responsibility of bearing our cross to follow Jesus Christ. Many faithful Christian today are living in shame, humiliation and termed sinners just because there are no worldly standard evidences of their faith in God. Many quickly turn back to Egypt because those who invited them to journey along to Canaan never told them there will be valleys and shadows of death through which only continuous focus on God is the way out. Acceptability in Church is so much characterized by financial and material possession that average and growing believers focus has been shifted from trust in God to trust in only what He can do. The Church of acts, signs and wonders but not of the ways, fellowship and love of God. Historically the Apostolic Church began after the ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ to heaven with a great commission mandate to all believers. ...

Help for Jobless but Potential Man.

Are you termed lazy, forsaken and life turned unbearable. You are academically and spiritually qualify to be celebrated as king but termed a miserable slave. Maybe no one ever look at your side, you are all along struggling with several years of joblessness. You have even begged to work for free so as to utilize your God given potential but never receive an offer. Many are in such helpless situation daily waiting in the pool of expectations from men to satisfy their longing. Will there be solution to the unemployment? Is dependency on men the desire of God in such state. About five o’clock the man went to the marketplace again. He saw some other people standing there. He asked them, ‘Why did you stand here all day doing nothing?’  “They said, ‘No one gave us a job.’ “The man said to them, ‘Then you can go and work in my vineyard.’  “The workers who were hired at five o’clock came to get their pay. Each worker got one silver coin. Then the workers who were hired first came ...

Pentecost reversed Babel Tribalism.

God scattered tongues to create tribes in the land of Shinar(Tower of Babel) but unified us back as a holy nation in Jerusalem upper room. There was a time when the whole world spoke one language. Everyone used the same words. Then the people said, “Let’s build ourselves a city and a tower that will reach to the sky. Then we will be famous. This will keep us together so that we will not be scattered all over the earth.”  The Lord said, “These people all speak the same language. And I see that they are joined together to do this work. This is only the beginning of what they can do. Soon they will be able to do anything they want. Let’s go down and confuse their language. Then they will not understand each other.” Gen. 11:1‭, ‬4‭, ‬6‭-‬7 ERV A large crowd came together because they heard the noise. They were surprised because, as the apostles were speaking, everyone heard in their own language.  They were all amazed at this. They did not understand how the apostles could d...

Is restoration of the Kingdom to Isreal God's priority?

United State of America before had made several attempts and speeches about restoring Israel. Isreal on the other hand had fought several war from inception but the battle seems unending. They enjoyed support from some countries and rebukes from many. The climax happened recently when President Donald Trump in 2017 formally announced relocation of American embassy to Jerusalem with his declaration of Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel. The ultimate expectation of the declaration was echoed by American Evangelical Christian Movement; as rebuilding of Jerusalem Temple in readiness for the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Restoration of Isreal Kingdom is that major to God than restoration of the kingdom of God to all nations? This same question was asked by Apostle almost immediately after resurrection of Jesus Christ before His ascension. The answer He gave reflect a better prophecy to any Christian body and the true mind of God for humanity. When men are eager to use authority...

Apostolic versus Modern Church

Question: Are we still in the era of the Holy Spirit and Apostolic doctrines? Text: Act 2:41-47, 4:31-37 Then those who accepted what Peter said were baptized. On that day about 3000 people were added to the group of believers.  The believers spent their time listening to the teaching of the apostles. They shared everything with each other. They ate together and prayed together. Many wonders and miraculous signs were happening through the apostles, and everyone felt great respect for God. All the believers stayed together and shared everything. They sold their land and the things they owned. Then they divided the money and gave it to those who needed it. The believers shared a common purpose, and every day they spent much of their time together in the Temple area. They also ate together in their homes. They were happy to share their food and ate with joyful hearts. The believers praised God and were respected by all the people . More and more people were being saved every day,...

Church and Alcoholism.

Is Strong Wine or Beer acceptable in both old and modern Church? Text: Deuteronomy 14:22-26, 1 Samuel 1:1-19.  This is one of the controversial topic among Christian communities. The new testament Church want to know why the preachers of the Gospel discouraged the people from enjoying what God made provision for in Deuteronomy 14: 26. Let's go through this study together and see to what extent God's permission was given to difference classes of His creation to benefit, enjoyed or damage their life from all He made. It will interest you to know that there was a deliberate planting of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the centre of the first place of worship(Eden) in addition to other blessed trees. Genesis 2:16-17, 3:1-3. Questions of interest. 1. Why did God plant this? Omniscient. 2. Why put restrictions? Simply put; to prove our obedience and affirm our power of choice. 3. Why double standard, Genesis 1:29 granted permission to eat from all fruitful tr...
