Today we shall be together to learn once again from the our Lord Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit through his words. I was about looking for topic to discuss here. But my attention was drawn to the scripture our brother posted earlier as our guard on this platform for the year. There are few things the Lord want us to know about what our focus this year should be on this platform and even in our day to day experience.
Beginning of new year always mark moment of reflection, planning, setting goals and every form of positive wishful thinking. Everyone always dream and envisioned prosperous year ahead. But over the years experience shows that only few make productive result from all the desires in their heart. In fact many of those January 1 dreams fade away before January 31. But here tonight, we shall examine important secret of living a life of fullness. A life of abundant harvest.
Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord. Luke 5:4-8 KJV
This was a popular scripture. The story of Jesus in the boat of Peter. Brethren, Every man with resolution for success without having Jesus Christ in his boat may likely be in for fruitless labour. Some people might have set goals to earn more professional certification and higher degree this year just to have a better harvest. But without Jesus as your sailor. You may end this year frustrated again. No matter what our resolution for this year. There is one important resolution that must be daily made by everyone who long to enjoy fullness of harvest.
And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence. Exo 33:15 KJV
Like Moses, this must be our first priority. Daily abiding presence of God. So for those of us here on this platform who are not carrier of God's presence. Our first resolution for successful year must be to invite Jesus Christ into our lives. He has all power to put an end to unproductive labour. Hear me sir/ma. Now am talking to those of us whose boat Jesus Christ already residence. One important event that must happen before blessings manifest in the life of a believe is that you must be loaded first with the words of God. Many of us are expecting to be counting financial blessing in millions, material breakthrough etc almost immediately we release ourselves to Jesus Christ as vessels.
Sir/Ma look up to Luke 5:4 again. The bible was specific that Jesus Christ will begin manifestation in the life of any man by teaching THE WORD first. He won't just start talking/teaching but he will finish every ministry of words impartation before ministering Fullness.
When He had finished speaking, He said to Simon [Peter], “Put out into the deep water and lower your nets for a catch [of fish].” Luke 5:4 AMP
For many of us, Jesus Christ has not even started talking to us. We don't even recognize His voice. Yet we are daily longing for miracles. Every man that will launch into the deep of blessings must be that believer who not only gave his life to Christ. But that believer who daily like Mary seat at the foots of Jesus Christ to hear Him. That believer who waited until he is soaked with the words of God. Who had patiently wait until the time for divine instruction is come.
Sir/Ma Simon Peter and his team already had a sleepless night in search of success at the suppose right time. Professional fishing is done at night for great harvest. Daytime is usually less productive or total waste of time. In fact waiting for the teaching of Jesus Christ is likely the least fascinating thing they will like to do. After a whole night of failure.Someone would have expect Jesus Christ to just satisfied their desires immediately he stepped in. But THE WORD is more important.
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 KJV.
No man can retain blessing that is not birthed by the word of God. Fullness that is not a product of divine instruction after hearing the word will end in emptiness. Sir/Ma maybe you think now is suppose to be your season of great harvest. I tell you if Jesus Christ has not finished teaching you. You're not ripe for exploits. No matter how much strength you put into toiling day and night. If you don't find time for the word you will end up a poor man.
Ignore the Word and suffer; honor God’s commands and grow rich. Proverbs 13:13 MSG
Do you know the interesting part about talking and hearing sir/ma. If someone need to talk for 3hrs, the hearer also need 3hrs to be focus and attentive to get all the message. Any shift of attention will force the speaker to hold, thus increase the timing if all the speech must be said. Same in our hearing the teaching of Jesus Christ. Our focal scripture Luke 5:4 said He must finish speaking. Our failure to maintain focus and give full attention to His word will in turn extend our timing for divine instruction to launch into the deep of fullness of harvest.
No wonder there are a lot of toiling in the place of prayer, even in the right location(church) but no harvests. From the prayer points raised by many believers you can easily know that they are just toiling. No word of God in them. To welcome Jesus Christ into your life is the 1st step Sir/Ma. To allow Him teach you through the word of life until you're full is the 2nd step Sir/Ma.
Now the 3rd step which is what we all long for is divine instruction to launch into the deep. Sir/Ma, if any man learn from Jesus Christ until the time for divine instruction for fruitfulness. Such life will never see emptiness again. Note sir/ma. Divine instruction for uncommon breakthrough doesn't answers to human acceptable timing. It's beyond human wisdom. When divine instruction comes, success doesn't answer to protocols. When divine instruction come. The location for success is usually allocated by God. When divine instruction come, man will forsake his profession and take up divine assignment for soul winning. I believe this is what our leader is bringing to our focus this year on this platform by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Here on this platform this year, there shall be men who will accept Jesus Christ into their life, listen to His full teaching for their spiritual development and finally receive divine instruction to launch into the deep of fullness of harvest. Such harvest will provoke the grace for souls winning in them. I know I will be one in Jesus might name. Amen
This year we shall launch into deep of financial breakthrough. We shall launch into the deep of Marital breakthrough. We shall launch into the deep of material breakthrough. We shall launch into the deep of career breakthrough. We shall launch into the deep of all round breakthrough. But one thing is certain, everyone who God launch into such deep end up becoming Fisher of men. In other words everything God will bless us with this year will provoke grace for souls winning in our lives. Amen
