Parenting is one major important aspect of human existence. Many school of taught agreed that charater development of a child is based on biological, moral and spiritual deposits from the parent. This generic believe was also applicable in the punishment of error committed by parents even for many generation. The early dealings of God with man never exonerate children from the sin of their forefathers. In fact the entirety of man creatures both born and yet unborn are pronounced guilty of the disobedience of Adam and Eve. The innocent children of Korah suffered from his wickedness unto God. Family of King Saul was eradicated from Israel. Yet only King Saul was the master culprit. Painful one was the death of innocent newly born child of King David who died as a result of adultery committed by his father. Many and more of these cases of God's judgement in the scripture had soaked into the practice and mindset of Christian today that one need to ask again why it must be so after Jesus Christ major sacrifice on the Cross of Calvary which according to God brings complete reconciliation and restoration.
Does God really waited for manifestation of His son before addressing this heart breaking issue. Transfer of Judgement and punishment from parental or generational sin was a major unfair suffering that man would ever passed through. Such was the practice until it was abolished by God as recorded by Prophet Ezekiel.
“What do you mean by using this proverb concerning the land of Israel, ‘ The fathers eat sour grapes [they sin], But the children’s teeth are set on edge’? As I live,” says the Lord God , “you are certainly not going to use this proverb [as an excuse] in Israel anymore. Behold (pay close attention), all souls are Mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is Mine. The soul who sins will die. “But if a man is righteous (keeps the law) and practices justice and righteousness, and does not eat [at the pagan shrines] on the mountains or raise his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, or defile his neighbor’s wife or approach a woman during her [monthly] time of impurity-- if a man does not oppress anyone, but restores to the debtor his pledge, does not commit robbery, but gives his bread to the hungry and covers the naked with clothing, if he does not charge interest or take a percentage of increase [on what he lends in compassion], if he keeps his hand from sin and executes true justice between man and man, if he walks in My statutes and [keeps] My ordinances so as to act with integrity; [then] he is [truly] righteous and shall certainly live,” says the Lord God .

God expressly cleared the misconception of man in relation to generational transfer of sin, evil and judgement. Righteous people are not subject of any form of demonic pass down of evil. This mindset and unjust treatment was permanently resolved by God. It then means if there will be any inheritance of evil or curse, it is only limited to those who are unrighteous before God and never for the Christian.
Let us make some reflections on our practices in the place of prayer today as saved, sanctified and Holy Spirit baptised children of God. Why is our requests in place of prayer most time focused on our old foundations when new one is already laid. Why will a true child of God concern himself or herself with family evil patterns, forefather's sin, curses in the lineage as a result of ungodliness. Why is our shepherds and teachers who knows better failed to tell the church this truth for total freedom from parental sins. But emphatically telling a child of God they are under curses, spell, lineage demonic operations. Yet these same set of people are devoted workers, ministers and sanctified children of God. Ezekiel declared the counsel of the Lord. No righteous is under any parental sin. It then means if there is unfruitfulness, it could either be sin by the believer, ignorance of Jesus Christ sacrifice and the verdict of God

While Jesus was walking, he saw a man who had been blind since the time he was born. Jesus’ followers asked him, “Teacher, why was this man born blind? Whose sin made it happen? Was it his own sin or that of his parents?” Jesus answered, “It was not any sin of this man or his parents that caused him to be blind. He was born blind so that he could be used to show what great things God can do.

Jesus Christ expression in John 9:1-3 established two important principles about suffering of man in relation to sin. No man is blind or suffering majorly because of parental sin. Reason being that all souls belong to God. The second which is more astonishing is that man can also suffers some pain not because he was a sinner but in other for God to be glorified in him.
The message here is simple suffering of a true believer is not traceable to parental sin. When the righteous suffers, the mindset of such child of God should be focused on two channels through which Christian can experience suffering. The first being the life of unconfessed or secret sin. He that covered his sin shall not prosper, but he who confess and forsake them shall obtain mercy. Many who are seeking for deliverance understood deeply in their hearts why Devil is in charge of their affairs. The other side of the coin may be affliction of the righteous just for God to be glorified in the life of such children of God. A true child of God should locate the root cause of his suffering out of these two and end deceit of parental sin or generation pass down. Unbelievers are the one who may be under generational sin. This sin was not basically the output of direct parents. But all sinners are already cursed by God from our first parents in Eden. When that is removed by salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, no more condemnation from any source whatsoever. Understanding of this truth will help Christian to search her life daily for source of errors rather than looking back to the past event.
