POWER FILLED CHRISTIANS, THE NEED FOR OUR GENERATION

We have heard, read and see so many exploits of faith from one generation to another overtimes. Every of this great moves and exploits have common denominator. The power of God in action. The best of powerful experiences usually happened among people who see themselves as less capable but are available. Our generation see less of the power of God because it is made up of people who think they are capable but are truly not available before God in the spirit.

We are generation of those who honour God in our lips but our heart are far away from God. The most dangerous part is the fact the there are so many Christians with no traces of God's power in their lives. We erroneously believed power is for few people. The GOs, Pastors and Prophets. These men are burdened with load of works that their spiritual life too is getting affected. This problem wasn't new to Church. It happened during Apostolic time. The problem with our generation is either the leaders didn't know what to do to pass down some of their authority and power or the Christians are too ordinary to take spiritual responsibilities. Let's learn how more power filled Christians were raised during Peter's time as the first head of the church built on Christ.

And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.  Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.  Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.  But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.  And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:  And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.  And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people. Acts 6:1-5, 7-8 KJV

From the above scripture, we can see how further growth of the church limited spiritual coverage of the disciples. Under their watch, the church started getting polluted by wrong practices. Widows were neglected, less time for prayers and studying of scriptures. Many churches in Nigeria had witnessed this kind of explosion. But because they were not sensitive like Apostle Peter. Expansion had degenerated to worldly church. When multitude flood any church, it will usually result to what founding pastor or few brethren cannot handled. It calls for new breeds of power filled Christians to close the gap. So painful that even if our spiritual leaders see the need, where are the power and wisdom filled Christians ready to take up the divine assignment for more church growth. Stephen and the other 6 were in the church not as pastors but also not as ordinary church goers. They were full of wisdom and power of Holy Spirit.

Errors in the churches in our time cannot also go through just our spiritual leaders available today until new breed of spirit filled believers emerged. Am I ready for that; are you also ready? Decay we see around and in the churches will continue until new tribe like Stephen generation develop. Many of us are empty barrels Christians. No spiritual substance. Yet we glory in so many titles. Instead of tarrying in the place of prayer until Holy Spirit fill us, we are busy doing gymnastics and fruitless services.

Our generation need the men who are full of wisdom. Men full of power. Men of honest report.Men full of faith. I was looking at all this criteria and wonder why Apostles are not looking for half full, one quarter, three quarter or even 99% filled Christian. The statement read men that are FULL. Many full-time; popular minister today are less than 10% in spiritual weight. Many are full of just one but empty of other criteria. We all need to build back our altar of prayer where the only prayer that matters is God fill me up. We must all be spiritually filled even when assignments have not been given. God only use full vessels. A battery in use before full charge risk short lifespan. So also unfilled Christians are risking spiritual death.

We should stop prayers seeking for additions when we have fail to pray down the kingdom of God and its righteousness. Failure to raise the new breed power filled Christians will continuously reduce the efforts of our leaders. No wonder they are getting mocked. They are mocked because we are empty or not yet fill.

May our generation receive grace to go back into pentecostal upper room until we are endow with power from God. Amen

What is This? God's Principle of Meeting Christian Needs.

The mindset to develop as true child of God on our needs and daily provision was established in the scripture both old and new testaments. This revelation is important as many today still stay comfortably in Egypt with deception and false hope that they are fairing well on the road to Canaan. Many have enjoyed the grace established by Jesus Christ on the Cross when He said Father forgive them for they knew not what they are doing. But should children of God remained in Ignorance? Will it not lead to destruction and they too will perish with unbelieving world. Let us quickly examine one important principle of God's dealing with man in term of possession. And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt.  And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron...

Church and Alcoholism.

Is Strong Wine or Beer acceptable in both old and modern Church? Text: Deuteronomy 14:22-26, 1 Samuel 1:1-19.  This is one of the controversial topic among Christian communities. The new testament Church want to know why the preachers of the Gospel discouraged the people from enjoying what God made provision for in Deuteronomy 14: 26. Let's go through this study together and see to what extent God's permission was given to difference classes of His creation to benefit, enjoyed or damage their life from all He made. It will interest you to know that there was a deliberate planting of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the centre of the first place of worship(Eden) in addition to other blessed trees. Genesis 2:16-17, 3:1-3. Questions of interest. 1. Why did God plant this? Omniscient. 2. Why put restrictions? Simply put; to prove our obedience and affirm our power of choice. 3. Why double standard, Genesis 1:29 granted permission to eat from all fruitful tr...

Eli, Eli, Lama Sabachthani? The cry of Sinful Saints.

Many people are under the yoke of different problems and difficult challenges emanating from finances, health, emotion, social and material needs. Prayers and supplications going up to God everyday in order to receive liberation from these evil works of the Devil. The torment when a man found himself in an unpleasant situations, forsaken, despised and rejected by men. I was deep in thought how difficult such situation may be until the revelation from God about what real suffering means hit me. There is a particular heartbroken, bone draining and devastating situation. If a child of God is found in sin, every other problems should be set aside to address it. Freedom from all other evil lies in victory won when believer ceased to be a Sinful Saint. What does it mean to be a Sinful Saint? That was the question I asked when the thought troubled my spirit until revelation from scripture ignites me with truth and reality about Saints who are living in sin. Many take sin so lightly with t...

Is restoration of the Kingdom to Isreal God's priority?

United State of America before had made several attempts and speeches about restoring Israel. Isreal on the other hand had fought several war from inception but the battle seems unending. They enjoyed support from some countries and rebukes from many. The climax happened recently when President Donald Trump in 2017 formally announced relocation of American embassy to Jerusalem with his declaration of Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel. The ultimate expectation of the declaration was echoed by American Evangelical Christian Movement; as rebuilding of Jerusalem Temple in readiness for the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Restoration of Isreal Kingdom is that major to God than restoration of the kingdom of God to all nations? This same question was asked by Apostle almost immediately after resurrection of Jesus Christ before His ascension. The answer He gave reflect a better prophecy to any Christian body and the true mind of God for humanity. When men are eager to use authority...

Divine approach to forgiveness of deep hurt before sunset.

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:  Neither give place to the devil. Ephesians 4:26‭-‬27 KJV There was a discussion in the congregation of saints recently about the possibility of God's demand in the above scripture. The pressing question is how can error, sin or hurts too deep; be forgiven before sunset?  How possible if the event occurred in the evening of the day?  Many more queries and questions some of which the logical answers tend to buttress the impossibility of God's demand. But one thing is certain, the word of the Lord remains the only truth and source of life for a child of God. Attempt to fault or inability to obey any of God's instruction is pure manifestation of the flesh. Thus there is just one simple question children of God should ask; what is the divine approach to forgiveness of deep hurt before sunset. Answer to this question will be based on the premise that we are Christian "Like Father like son" in other...
