Affliction! The Two Way Confirmation of Righteousness

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.  And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters.  His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.  And his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.  And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.
Job 1:1‭-‬5 KJV

Have you ever take time to look at your curriculum vitae and matched it alongside that of Job before looking down on that righteous man who is passing through an affliction. The story of job as accounted in the bible is simply the unfolding of the mystery behind the suffering of the righteous. Many believe it was as a result of Job's confessed fear. But it is more about establishment and confirmation of believers righteousness to the Devil; the second force contesting for the soul of man with God.

And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?  Then Satan answered the Lord , and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?  Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.  But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.  And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord .
Job 1:8‭-‬12 KJV

Every believer is designed by default to enjoy divine protection and fruitfulness from God
The extent of God defense for Christian is so strong that Satan misinterpret it as equal no spiritual commitment from man. Thus the reason for afflictions. God need man to confirm by themselves the effectiveness of their power of choice. Salvation is a gift of God by Christ Jesus, but confirmation of salvation comes from man.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:10 KJV

Many are in the Christian world today that God cannot present their CV to Satan because of the attachment to possession. How many can act like Job.

Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,  And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord .  In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. Job 1:20‭-‬22 KJV

If you are already in the school of affliction congratulations because the first level confirmation of your righteousness was concluded. God had approved your faith already and showing you forth for second level confirmation. But please know the fire at this level burn so much because Satan will be permitted to do just anything except ownership of your soul. The point still remains Satan knew that you have the power of choice to deliver the soul unto him.

The reason for your losses, why the pain and sorrow, if they are traceable to your confession of faith in Jesus Christ; endure the pain. Satan will raise just anybody both within the Church and outside to enforce sin on you. They will mock your righteousness, faith and hope of redemption. Hold on to worship of God. Focus on the glory awaiting the Saints. Many whose faith is only tied to what the Lord had done will someday pass through similar test or remained doomed forever by love of the world. I can imaging God difficulty in presenting the profile of many acclaimed Christian to Satan. But no matter how well we try to avoid it, God need Satan to confirm believers righteousness and the tools of Satan are Affliction, Tribulation, Peril, Hunger, Sickness, Poverty, Sword and all manners of evil. But we have assurance of salvation only if we hold on to the Cross of Jesus Christ and committed to worship of God.

Always remember when you go through tribulations like Job that restoration is sure only if you hold on in faith.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
Psalms 34:19 KJV.

Note: How far Satan can go in confirmation of believer's righteousness depend on God and the things we need to forsake to cling permanently to the Cross of Jesus Christ. When that is done everlasting rest follows both here on earth and in heaven.

What is This? God's Principle of Meeting Christian Needs.

The mindset to develop as true child of God on our needs and daily provision was established in the scripture both old and new testaments. This revelation is important as many today still stay comfortably in Egypt with deception and false hope that they are fairing well on the road to Canaan. Many have enjoyed the grace established by Jesus Christ on the Cross when He said Father forgive them for they knew not what they are doing. But should children of God remained in Ignorance? Will it not lead to destruction and they too will perish with unbelieving world. Let us quickly examine one important principle of God's dealing with man in term of possession. And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt.  And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron...

Church and Alcoholism.

Is Strong Wine or Beer acceptable in both old and modern Church? Text: Deuteronomy 14:22-26, 1 Samuel 1:1-19.  This is one of the controversial topic among Christian communities. The new testament Church want to know why the preachers of the Gospel discouraged the people from enjoying what God made provision for in Deuteronomy 14: 26. Let's go through this study together and see to what extent God's permission was given to difference classes of His creation to benefit, enjoyed or damage their life from all He made. It will interest you to know that there was a deliberate planting of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the centre of the first place of worship(Eden) in addition to other blessed trees. Genesis 2:16-17, 3:1-3. Questions of interest. 1. Why did God plant this? Omniscient. 2. Why put restrictions? Simply put; to prove our obedience and affirm our power of choice. 3. Why double standard, Genesis 1:29 granted permission to eat from all fruitful tr...

Eli, Eli, Lama Sabachthani? The cry of Sinful Saints.

Many people are under the yoke of different problems and difficult challenges emanating from finances, health, emotion, social and material needs. Prayers and supplications going up to God everyday in order to receive liberation from these evil works of the Devil. The torment when a man found himself in an unpleasant situations, forsaken, despised and rejected by men. I was deep in thought how difficult such situation may be until the revelation from God about what real suffering means hit me. There is a particular heartbroken, bone draining and devastating situation. If a child of God is found in sin, every other problems should be set aside to address it. Freedom from all other evil lies in victory won when believer ceased to be a Sinful Saint. What does it mean to be a Sinful Saint? That was the question I asked when the thought troubled my spirit until revelation from scripture ignites me with truth and reality about Saints who are living in sin. Many take sin so lightly with t...

Is restoration of the Kingdom to Isreal God's priority?

United State of America before had made several attempts and speeches about restoring Israel. Isreal on the other hand had fought several war from inception but the battle seems unending. They enjoyed support from some countries and rebukes from many. The climax happened recently when President Donald Trump in 2017 formally announced relocation of American embassy to Jerusalem with his declaration of Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel. The ultimate expectation of the declaration was echoed by American Evangelical Christian Movement; as rebuilding of Jerusalem Temple in readiness for the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Restoration of Isreal Kingdom is that major to God than restoration of the kingdom of God to all nations? This same question was asked by Apostle almost immediately after resurrection of Jesus Christ before His ascension. The answer He gave reflect a better prophecy to any Christian body and the true mind of God for humanity. When men are eager to use authority...

Divine approach to forgiveness of deep hurt before sunset.

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:  Neither give place to the devil. Ephesians 4:26‭-‬27 KJV There was a discussion in the congregation of saints recently about the possibility of God's demand in the above scripture. The pressing question is how can error, sin or hurts too deep; be forgiven before sunset?  How possible if the event occurred in the evening of the day?  Many more queries and questions some of which the logical answers tend to buttress the impossibility of God's demand. But one thing is certain, the word of the Lord remains the only truth and source of life for a child of God. Attempt to fault or inability to obey any of God's instruction is pure manifestation of the flesh. Thus there is just one simple question children of God should ask; what is the divine approach to forgiveness of deep hurt before sunset. Answer to this question will be based on the premise that we are Christian "Like Father like son" in other...
